When do you really need one?
Most people do not. A VPS works well for websites, bots, trading programs and small apps. It costs much less, and you can move to a bigger plan step by step. A dedicated server makes sense when:
- Your work keeps every core of our biggest VPS busy for most of the day.
- You need more memory than any VPS plan has. For example: large databases, many emulators at once, or big Java or game servers.
- A law, rule or client contract says the hardware must be used by you alone.
- You want to run your own virtual machines on the hardware.
VPS vs dedicated server
| VPS | Dedicated server | |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware | A fixed, promised part of a real server | The whole real server |
| Other customers on the machine | Yes, but kept separate from you | None |
| Upgrading | Move to a bigger plan step by step | Change the hardware or move to another machine |
| Cost | From Rs 1,399 a month | Many times more |
| Best for | Almost everything | Heavy work all day, very large memory, rules that need hardware only for you |
What is included
- Real processor cores that only you use
- Full root or Administrator access
- Windows Server or Linux, installed for you
- An IPv4 address just for you
Dedicated server questions
Is a dedicated server faster than a VPS?
For heavy work that runs all the time, yes, because nothing else uses the hardware. For light work, or work that only spikes now and then, you will not see a difference. Then a good VPS on NVMe is better value.
Can I get a dedicated server in Pakistan?
Ask us. Our listed dedicated servers are in the US. For other locations, we give you a price when you ask, if the hardware is available. If your users are in Pakistan, a large Pakistan VPS is often the better choice.
Can I pay for a dedicated server with JazzCash?
Yes. You can pay with JazzCash, EasyPaisa, SadaPay, NayaPay, bank transfer, cards, USDT or crypto. For larger amounts, bank transfer is often easiest.
Is it managed?
No. Dedicated servers are self-managed, like our VPS plans. We look after the hardware and network, and we install the operating system (OS). You run the software. Ask us if you need help with the first setup.
